About the Opportunity
With the continuing growth of the business, Haymes Paint currently has two new opportunities for experienced sales representatives to service either the Shepparton or Geelong regions, VIC as Regional Business Managers.
These roles will be travel-based, with the successful applicants able to Work-from-Home within either of the two regions with significant travel to customers on a regular basis. Consideration of changing Covid-19 guidelines with be observed accordingly.
Reporting to the State Sales Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining a regular service to trades and stores-based customers within your nominated geographical territory.
More specifically, the purpose of your role will be to develop and maintain new and existing strategic customer relationships in order to achieve and exceed set sales targets.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include (but will not be limited to):
- Promoting the marketing of Haymes products and services;
- Developing new customers through the identification of new business opportunities;
- Applying selling skills to build a customer base and achieve set targets; and
- Preparing regular reports as required.
Haymes is looking for applicants with strong sales experience, preferably within the building/retail or closely related industries. More specifically you'll have previous success in areas such as cold calling, account management, business development or the development and delivery of business plans.
As a passionate sales professional, you will be confident in your ability to create strategic commercial relationships with new and existing customers that lead to mutually beneficial outcomes.
Adaptable and dependable, you will see the value in building rapport with diverse stakeholders throughout your wider territory as a customer-facing representative of Haymes Paint, from tradesmen looking to buy products, to family-run businesses looking to sell it.
Due to the largely autonomous nature of the role, you will also need to have a general understanding of the processes involved in managing a sales territory independently to establish a baseline profitability, including an intermediate level of computer literacy.
