About the Opportunity
EC Controls now has an exciting opportunity for an experienced BMS Engineer to join their team in Silverwater, Sydney, on a full-time basis.
Working across a range of industries, and from new builds to upgrades, retrofitting or refurbishments, you will be responsible for the full end to end delivery of BMS projects, leading the design and project engineering for your own projects to ensure you successfully meet and exceed the client/s requirements.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Converting Mechanical/BMS specifications into compliant BMS functional descriptions, points lists and network diagrams;
- Programming/configuring software for commercial automation projects;
- Writing up project points lists, functional descriptions and documentation for BMS systems;
- Coordinating installation and commissioning activities with installation/commissioning technicians; and
- Ensuring that projects are completed according to customer requirements and quality expectations.
To be considered for this position you will need significant experience in Building Management Systems/Building Automation and a solid understanding of HVAC Systems, BMS Specifications, and A Grade building project documentation (including Green Star and NABERS requirements).
Proficiency in BACnet Systems is essential, with Tridium Niagara and Schneider experience looked on favourably.
With strong problem-solving skills and a demonstrated background in the construction industry, you'll understand the importance of keeping to set timelines and be able to keep projects on-track and on-time. Good attention to detail, a sense of initiative and a 'can-do' attitude will be key to your success.
Friendly and approachable, you'll be able to communicate effectively on a technical level, working with the EC Controls team and wider project staff, as well as build strong relationships with clients and other key stakeholders. You will need to be able to work both autonomously and alongside project managers for the projects that you engineer.
Please note: You will need to be able and willing to travel to client sites throughout NSW, which may involve up to two weeks at a time away from home. The successful candidate will also require a White Card and a manual driver's license.

In return for your hard work, you will receive an attractive base salary circa $80,000 - $120,000 plus super, commensurate with your skills and experience.
