About the Role
APNIC is the Regional Internet Registry for the Asia Pacific with more than 4,000 Members. Our vision is a global, open, stable, and secure Internet that serves the entire Asia Pacific community.
The Digital Communications Specialist will be responsible for developing engaging and relevant content across numerous platforms, and managing communications, which build APNIC's relationship with its Members.
APNIC already has the digital platform, an increasingly popular, globally-followed blog; we are now looking for a new member to join our motivated team to help us strengthen our communication with the 56 economies in our region and beyond.
The position works extensively with other APNIC units, our counterparts in other Regional Internet Registries, and members of the international Internet community. One day you might be writing a blog post about the development of Bhutan’s Internet infrastructure, the next you might be live tweeting from a conference in Indonesia or developing speech notes for the Director General.
About You
To be successful in this role, as a seasoned professional, your background should include the following:-
- Degree or equivalent experience in a relevant communications discipline
- 6+ years of experience
- Strong writer with experience writing for different mediums and styles – from blog posts to web copy to formal reports and more
- Excellent social media skills and experience, including blog management
- Superior communication and interpersonal skills with an engaging and passionate communication style
- A good understanding of Internet and technology concepts
- Solid organisational and time management skills
- Proven ability to work with people from a wide variety of cultural backgrounds
